Food Addiction?
I read this article today and it has a few good tips. I wonder how many of us are food addicts? I know for myself, I am really trying to journal what I eat. I am starting to recognize more that I will eat when unneccesary...boredom and habit (or is that addiction?). Becoming more aware, I find that I am cutting out night eating. Now just to work on stress eating...that one may require some professional assistance.
This is one area that I know I need to work on because if I don't get a handle on it, any other measures I take will be fruitless.
For those who have already had GBS, are the emotions around food one of the most difficult

I am definitely a food addict. I have & will-
-sneak food
- hide food- chocolate is the worst for this
-eat to soothe emotions- angry, sad, depressed -all are solved with food
-have times when it is very difficult to stop eating
-gotten upset when I couldn't have food- particularly sugary stuff
-can focus on other things when there a favorite food around.
-I can diet for a long time, but if I slip once, I binge
Whatever you could say about alcoholism, I can say about food.
I must say that the few months I had restriction with my band was the easiest dieting I ever experienced. i could have a treat & not binge & not have more than a couple of bites.
