Appointment!!!!!! *grumble* Pushed back.....

Finally.....

I received my letter today in the mail.  I have an appointment on April 1st in Bathurst with Dr. Savoie.

I'm a bit concerned that this will end up being an April Fool's Day joke and something will happen to prevent me from having surgery...

But at least it's a start!!!

Yay me!!!!  Not that I want to toot my own horn but I've been waiting a while for this.

Just for those who don't have the details, my referral was sent December 5th, 2008.


***UPDATE*** I got a call on Tuesday that my April 1st appointment has been pushed back to sometime in May...just keeping y'all posted...

That's great. I will be stalking no no  I mean watching  your posts. Do you know what type of surgery that you want?

When I called the clinic a couple of weeks ago they were working on the referrals for Feb/09 and my referral went in March/09 so I am hoping that I will be seen early next year.

The lady at the clinic is a total sweetheart...I have to figure out something to bring her for her patience with all my calls and questions.

I'm thinking that since my main issue with food is that I'm always hungry and I end up eating LOTS of food that the VSG will be the best option for me.

The ideal would be DS.  However, we don't have that option here.  The VSG seems to work well with people who have portion control issues.  I'm not a huge sweets or "junk" food person.  It's mostly portion control for me.  I find that if I try to control the amount of food I eat, even with filling foods, I'm still hungry.

Ah well, I'll have to talk it over with Dr. Savoie to see if he agrees with me.

lol...I told the lady at the clinic that when I finally get to meet her I was going to give her a big hug for putting up with me. She laughed and said that has never happened to her.

Congrats to you on April 1st!!  I can just imagine how you would be feeling.  Dr.Savoie got my referral December 2009 ...I can't wait till I recieve my letter!  Let us know how you make out :)

He is wonderful!  I haven't posted pictures for sometime but I will try to post a couple in a few minutes. Of course, I think he is an adorable little genius....but I may be a little biased!
