Down but not out

My troubles have continued. I have acid reflux 24/7. I have spent the last 4 nights in my lazy-boy because I can't lay down. Lisa at the clinic has gotten me a flouro on Feb 24- that is the earliest she could squeeze me in. I am so darned discouraged today (I will be fine in a day or 2), my stomach is burning, coffee just kills me, I'm tired, & on the verge of tears. I just feel so rotten. Lisa told me to go to emerg if I can't wait, but with experiences i have had at emerg, hell will freeze over first.  I know how easy losing weight is when the band is working right, I had that for a whole 2 months- a year & a half ago. I still want that. Right now I am feeling very sorry for myself- dam, if I have had a hernia all this time, why the hell has Dr B not suspected it & done something about it.

Like I said, I will be back to optimism in a day or 2....just not today.

Hang in there Miss Kitty; it will get better. You should go to emerg and just be adamant about the 2 cc's. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Jet. Lisa told me to go to emerg only if I reached the point that I couldn't drink. Though a few more days of this & I will have had enough.

I am so sorry you are having such trouble with your band, I too had a hernia, I suspect for years, I knew something was wrong, cause I had pain all the time, but my family doctor said he couldnt find anything and may never know what was causing the pain, (he never did do a stomach xray) just an ultra sound, which I found out later doesnt show the stomach, duh, thankfully Dr. B found it when he did my lapband and repaired it at the same time, and I have had no more pain.  I wonder if the hernia is new for you, otherwise Dr. B would have repaired it at your surgery. You have had such a rough time of it, still you persevere. You are one strong lady. you shouldnt have to suffer like this, have you called the doctors home office, not the clinic, but his office? surely he could fit you in? I will say a prayer for you tonight, and know you are in my thoughts, sending good vibes your way dear one.

Thank you for your kind words. I am staying home from work today- something I don't do often. I am hoping that some R&R will help. I am counting the days until my next appointment.
I did have a hernia that Dr B repaired at surgery. I think the problems I had with a bubble expanding in my band in Sept 2009, caused another hernia.  I am a bit angry that the clinic didn't realize that there was a problem months ago after my second trip to emerg.
