Need info on small bowel infections

Hi OH friends

Its been a while since Ive posted but I do lurk.  I was hospitalized this past Saturday until today for a small bowel inflammation/infection.  They did general xrays and a CT scan and found that the infection was in the area where my small intestine was split to enter the new pouch.  I was hospitalized in September for 2 days as well for the same thing but the inflammation was in a different spot of the small bowel.  Has anyone else had or heard of the issues occuring?  They don't have any answers to what is causing it so I don't know how to avoid getting it again. 
Any info is always appreciated

Hi Angela I wish I had an answer for you, I have never heard of that before in my Rny research. I just wanted to tell you I 've missed you and wondered how you were doing. Hope you get some answers and can get this all cleared up. Blessings Trish

No Angela - I have not heard of this exact problem. I know you went to Dr. Christou for your surgery - but I assume you were hospitalized for this closer to home. I would definitely contact Dr. Christou's office to let him know - and if possible - provide him with some sort of documentation from whoever treated you for these two episodes.
