Decision

I am back from my appointment with Dr. Beausoleil. I had an unfill and signed papers for surgery. I am going to get my band repositioned. At this point I am just looking for relief once and for all. Jet

HI Jet..I just had this done onthe 10th of December. I had a hernia repair as well.  It went very well, easier than the original surgery.  The only part that sucks is you will have to the meditrim diet things before.  They are not too bad really. I lost like 12 lbs in 3 weeks but I have now gained 20 lbs since the surgery. I was told that was normal because of the rapid weightloss and actually being able to eat and hold food down for the first time in4 years. :)

Dr Beausoleil told me that since I have had good weight loss, I would not have to do the meditrim; I have never had it. When I had my 1st surgery, I followed a 1200 calories per day plan. He will also be doing a hernia repair as well. I just want my health back so that I can get my life back. This battle over the last year has forced me to quit running and I really miss it. Jet

NOT FAIR!! I am jealous Jet. I have had trouble since Sept 2009. July & August 2009 are the only ,months that I had proper restriction. Once again I able to have only liquids.  I do protest- I think that you live close enough to be a p....squeaky wheel. LOL  I have gained a sh*t load of weight. I was ready to take the dam thing out myself. I have been nauseous every time I eat for more than a week
Well, Jet, at least you will be able to tell me all about it. How long did he say you will have to wait?

Miss Kitty, I can always count on you for a good chuckle! :)) I have been feeling like crap for a year now. Constantly going up and down fill, unfill, reflux, changing meds. I would say I have waited long enough. He told me it would be 2-3 months. On Monday I will call Nathalie to ask if she can put me on a cancellation list. Jet

I have been getting worse & worse for the last 4 weeks. I was ready to pull the my band out with pliers & a butcher knife, but the last 3 days have been much better. I am down 7 pounds- only a gazillion to go to get back to last August's weight.

Sorry to hear things are STILL not going well for you :( My heart goes out to both you and Kitty_mom. I am glad to hear you have your surgery upcoming though and I hope it's smooth sailing for you from thereonin.
