I have gained about 15 pounds in a few months and I don't know what to do to lose it. I know what to do but it seems to hard to do it. I'm depressed. I had 2 surgeries, move etc. a lot of changes to handle.

I just needed to share with you.

Your not alone!  I have gained 6 lbs. and have done everything wrong since July!  Depressed too!  I am trying to pick myself up, and I am taking it one day at a time.

Here is my plan:

1.  eat three meals a day
2.  drink six glasses of water
3.  think positive

So far so good!  I have three weeks before I see Dr. B again, hope I can loss a few pounds!

Hope this helps!

Hi moulike you do not show which surgery you had. Sometimes people with similar surgeries have suggestions of what has worked for them. I had R N Y bypass so it may be different from yours. If you had R N Y I would suggest going back to basics and starting over from scratch. I have to do that ever so often to nip the gain in the bud. I don't think any of these surgeries are foolprooof or easy. At first it is so easy but after a year or two it gets steadily harder to keep the weight off.

I have gained far more, but the only thing to be done- Recommit to your eating plan & take one day at a time. I recommitted by going on a liquid diet for 3 days to break the sugar binging cycle. So far it seems to have helped a lot. I have been depression eating, but the weight gain is even more depressing.

By liquid diet do you mean Boost or something else? I would give it a try. I have to do something fast!

Thank you for your advice

P. S. I had a lap  band surgery 2 and half years ago, a breast lift in March and an abdominoplasty in June.

I know - it's been a long time since my last post.  Maybe if I had relied on those of you with experience I wouldn't be in the position I'm in now.  I have gained about 10 pounds back and I can't seem to get off the sugar - especially ice cream.  I have good restriction - maybe too good.  The only thing that slides down easily is ice cream.  I'm breaking all the rules and I know it.  I need a good swift kick in the pants!!!  My only hope is to get off the sugar and back on track.  I am absolutely positive the weight would come off if I would follow the RULES!  So the question is, how do you help someone who won't help themselves?  I know what to do - but I am craving the SUGAR big time.  Please help!!!

Hey Abby, Good to hear from you. I have gained about 30 pounds. I am depression eating. The main problem is sugar. I have broken the sugar cravings but I only last about a week before I am back to sugar binging.

When I get carb overload and start to crave them I do a 3 day fruit diet and it breaks the sugar/carb cycle. The best thing about the 3 day frut diet is there is no hunger involved.
