Now i know!!
Ok MaryC and Angela thanks for the heads up about MRSA. At my pre-admission tests they had to swab for it and I felt somewhat informed thanks to you guys. Now lets just hope it comes back negative. If not I will be in isolation the whole time I am in the hospital. So I also found out my surgery is the 29th not the 28th. But that is ok, one more day on the shakes won't hurt me at all. I am down 15lbs as of this morning. All my extra fluid is pretty much gone and so I am seeing the benefits of that. I seem to have lots of energy also. I think food might have been killing me, at least the choices I was making anyway. Talk soon, Trish
Glad you are feeling good. And - the isolation room really was not so bad. It was quiet and kind of nice really. This was last summer - not after my RNY - I was only in one night then. I like my own space anyway. I did find I didn't see the nurses quite as much - and my meal trays were a little on the cool side as it wasn't brought in right away - but it wasn't that much of a problem. Meal trays won't be a problem for you. And I have to say - the whole time I was in - if I rang my bell for anything - I was given prompt attention. In anycase - isolation or not - hopefully you won't be in hosptital very long. Hang in there girl!
