Family get together and BBQ today

Well now I am on day 8 of these shakes and bars and I will be so glad when day 14 is here and I am done them, don't get me wrong they are not too bad but right now pardon the pun I could probably eat the arse out of a skunk and that would not be pretty!!!!    I am now down 12 pounds since I started the shakes last Monday and still have another week almost to go.   Today my family and I are going out to my Aunts summer place for a big family get together with a BBQ and it is going to be sooooooooo hard not to want to eat some of the amazing food that will be there, among the food will be some lebanese food which is love mmmmmmmmmmm  temptations will be there and I still have to make some hamburgers for my boys and my DH made an awesom potatoe salad which everyone loves to have during these special family get togethers and me I will just be bringing my bars for out there...and there will be plenty of drinks going around and I will have my water and crystal light...and possibly a black tea...yummmmmyyyy...I guess the way I look at it is that it will all be worth it in the end and the results will be amazing.  It is going to be hard not to want to sample a little bit of food but I know I can't today so here is to all my willpower  

Hang in there Whitney; it won't be long now. You have come this far and you can and will see this to the end. If it gets to be too much, go for a walk. Keep your eyes on the prize and you will make it past this event!

Oh I know I have got my eyes on the prize and I know things will be better in the end, today was a good day out there everything looked wonderfuland smelled great but I hung in there and just had my bars and water with crystal lite in it and had no problems.  We just got home now and it is after 7pm so not too bad..  Thanks Jet I am holding strong.

Hi Beth. Sorry I haven't emailed you in awhile I had to go up to Petit Rocher where my family is from. It's up Bathurst way...One of my aunt got killed...So I wasn't around. My husband and I are back but my mom stayed a bit longer we go get her in a few days. Anyhow.... Congrats hun on the 12 pounds your doing great 7 more days to go. I know your going to be up here tomorrow I am not sure if I am going to go for my blood work but I'll try if not then next time and if you don't mind when its time for your surgery I will like to go see how you are doing...let me know! Craig is laughing at the eatting the arse out of a skunk comment I guess you had told him that before when I was talking with my mom that one day . LOL
Well  bed is calling my name take care and I hope to see you soon!

Hi Denise, sorry to hear about the loss of your Aunt my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. 

Thank you Denise, today will tell me exactally how much weight I have lost as my scales could be off a bit one way or the other but they are pretty close.   It is  6:40am right now and I just woke my son Michael up as he wanted to come with me today for the drive my appointment is at 11 but of course it takes about 1 and a half hours to get up there and then to register and all that good stuff.  I hope to see you today if not yes I will see you soon....I have to be at the hospital next Tuesday morning at 7am and surgery is at 9:30am so I will be there most of the day from what I hear, if you are feeling up to it and want to stop by you are more then welcome my husband and two boys will be int he waiting room.

You take care and keep your chin up and good luck with your tests as well my dear.
