Hello everyone, how are we all doing? Haven't been on here in a very long time. But I just read through some of your post on here, and you all seem to be doing well. I seen alot of great weight losses. Good job everyone, keep up the great work. Well I'm still waiting, I think waiting is the hardest part. I see Dr. Savoie is still looking at people from 2008. And it has been over a year since I sent in my referral. The last time I was talking to them which was a whle ago, they said when the clinic was up and going things would start moving fast. I think they have come to a stand still..lol. Anyway, you are all an inspiration, keep up the great work.

P.S.  I have also started to see a Nutritionist, to try and get some of this weight of on my own. It started out good I lost 16lbs in 4 weeks. But now I'm struggling to keep it off, I go I'm up 1-2lb, or down a lb. Having a bit of a hard time, but I'm trying to keep at it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks,
Dawn

Hang in there Dawn; waiting is never fun but worth it in the end. It's good that you're getting into good habits before surgery. This will certainly be beneficial when your turn comes.

Focus on eating healthy. Healthy is more important than skinny!

Thanks, Kitty

I will try and focus more on healthy eating, I just want to be healthier and stronger. I want to be able to do simple things, play with my daughter, walk without getting out of breath. Thanks again for the encouragement.

If you focus exclusively on the numbers on the scale, you will get discouraged. We all know that the numbers can lie like a rug/ You eat a little salt on a healthy meal and you retain some water, sweat on a really hot day and get a little dehydrated- the scale moves in both instances and both are  lies. Being able to move around better than before, fitting into your clothes better- they are not lies and they really mean something. No matter the diet you are on, your weight will fluctuate and you will have stalls that last for weeks. Those are lies too.  If you get discouraged. you will give up. In the long run, even with a bi-pass or band you can give up. when you put on a few pounds, you can give up. If you lose your positive out look by focusing only on the numbers, you won't  dust yourself off and getting back on track. You can.t ignore the numbers completely, because we are all expert at lying to ourselves. especially when comes to the bad effects of how we eat. Like most things in life. it's all about achieving balance.
