and they can't connect me to single murder...yet......As I have said in other posts, I have resorted to harmful coping strategies, i.e. gorging sugary foods, and I put my foot down the night before last and decided to go cold turkey.  Not easy. I am going one day, hour, minute at a time. I hope that by the weekend, the cravings will subside.
I know that I am going to crash and burn sometime in the next couple of months as a result of the death of my cousin.  It maybe delayed until I go to my cottage, because his cottage was just down the beach and I associate him with that area. I have a habit of checking if he is there, even though he didn't go at all last summer.....I am hoping that I have good restriction when it happens, so the weight damage isn't too bad.

as you said, take one day at a time. Life is hard at times, and we who have weight issues usually cope with food, we can only try to do better, and not be too hard on ourselves when we dont do as well as we think we should. **** that sounds preachy, frankly with my itching right now, I could cram a dozen donuts in my mouth, preferably Tim Hortons, creme filled donuts. YUM  lol

Kitty I know you have heard this before but I am going to reiterate it anyway. If you completely stop sugar it will be an awul experience but only for a week or so. Once your body gets over the taste of sugar (and it will in a single week) anything sugary will taste gross. I went on a diet 8 months before I had surgery and lost 50 pounds. The only thing I gave up was sugar and sugary stuff. I do use splenda and now I see there is somethoin called steiva too. Never tried that though. If you just take the leap for a week or so, you will have to force yourself to eat sugar after that. Hard to believe but true. Sweet stuff tastes gross to me now. 2 years ago on this day I could easily eat a whole chocolate cake by myself washed down by 2 liters of Pepsi then chased by 1/2 a liter of soft serve ice cream. 2 or 3 hours later I'd have been looking for more food. Almost makes me gag to recall eating that now. LOL

I wish ot were so. I have gone for months with sugar never passing my lips and one taste and I the first taste was heaven. However, I have to agree that the cravingsdo go away. i was up to 3 days when I caved. I am starting again. I can't wait for a fill on Thursday. I will do better after that.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss Kitty.

I finally got my Laptop to connect to this site.  Man I've missed everyone!

I was finally put on Topamax for my siezures I was having for 4 years, but a weird side effect of the drug was taste change.  Well the taste that was effected was sugar!  Now I can't stand the taste of it. Chocolate, pop, nothing!  It's really helped my blood sugar levels even out.  But it happened right at Easter and I was so mad, because I couldn't have any Peeps! It's helping with the weight loss too.  15 more pounds and I can get a wii fit! WooHoo!

Welcome back Kelmera. Thanks for the condolences. He was a very special person to me.
Hey can i have some of that medications. It is antabuse for sugar addicts. (Antabuse makes alcoholics sick if they drink). With all the stress and a total unfill, I have been eating way too much sugar
