Looking for Ci-Cal D 400 U chewable
Some of the gals on Ontario forum do order from Well.ca so I think they are all legit.
I am not familiar with the vitamin you are looking for - I take Bariatric Advantage Calcium Vitamin- a company in Montreal used to sell and ship them but no longer is the supplier- so you have to go with the Bariatric Advantage website to order now. You can also purchase them from Bariatric Choice's website.
There are other specific Bariatric Vitamins available too- I dont necessarily believe they are better - I just have always taken the Bariatric Advantage so its habit now.
I have also purchased Citracel Petites but they would be for further out as they are not chewable - even as petites they are a good size . Also I need to take more of them to get in all my calcium.
Knowing that you need a chewable and need the vitamin D with it to aid in absorption - the pharmacist should be able to recommend an alternative.

Just wondering why the carbonate- we dont as RNY patients absorb it - only Citrate and Elemental Calcium.
Have you had a baseline bone density scan done so you can monitor your levels on a yearly basis - I know you know as a nurse that later down the road if we were to be calcium deficient our body will leach what it stores from our bones- it starts with our teeth which is not a pleasant thought.
There are a couple regulars on OH RNY forum that are far out - had surgery way back when supplements were not pushed- and they have experienced calcium deficiency- very difficult to bring back up once you get into a bad way.
Just thought I would toss it out there so you can do some more research.
hugs

I actually just finished my first can and placed an order for a second. I am definetly starting to notice a difference, I don't have the energy I would like but I'm blaming alot of that on late nights and little sleep...LOL. I've been experimenting with it by putting it in different things. I put it on my cheerios , my oatmeal....stuff like that. Becareful when it comes to coffee though.....the first day I received it I took it to work with me and made my coffee. I'm not sure if it was too hot or what but as soon as I put the powder in, it went all clumpy.....YUCKY!!!!! No matter what I did I couldn't stir it in, I've tried sprinkling it in my coffee slowly and it still clumped. Now when I put it in a Tim Horton's coffee it mixes in fine (alot cooler than coffee I make at home) so I don't know if its the heat thing or what but I avoid putting it in coffee made at home now
