One Year Surgeversary

At this time one year ago I was pretty much out of it - had a hard time coming out of the anesthetic.  I have lost between 70 - 73 pounds and seem to be in a bit of a stall right now.  I know that I am not making good choices and I'm eating a lot of sider foods.  I do seem to have pretty good restriction right now.  Nathalie called and I have an appointment for May 13 at 2pm  (anyone else planning to be in Moncton then?)  and I'm not sure if I really want to have a fill.  It will be with Dr. Roy and my last experience with her was not the best.  She had a hard time finding the hole in my port  - I am hoping that was just a fluke :-( LOL.

So my journey continues.  I still need to lose another 10 pounds to say that I am merely overweight and not obese - that would be nice but I am really quite content where I am.  I feel great and look even better HEHE! I do feel great but when it comes to looks most things are heading south - except when I walk and then there are places on my body that seems to have a mind of there own and want to take separate vacations!!! and they go in all different directions!  Oh well - no regrets.  There is no comparison between how I feel today and how I felt a year ago.  I have a life that I can enjoy with my family and friends and I DO feel great!

Hi Abby, I have an apt. on May 13th too, at 1:30pm. If you see me, come on over and say hello, my apt. is with Dr. Roy too, and she did me last time, and it took her two times. So I am hoping she gets it on the first try , cause it hurt. I wish they would use a little numbing gel. Oh well , I don't need to be such a baby, it didnt take all that long to do. Hope to see you there

If it`s any comsolation, my worst experieng locating my port was with the good Dr himself; took him about three or four times. My port is pretty easy to locate normally, but I guess everyone has an off day sometimes.

Congrats on all your accomplishments Abby. Keep up the good work.

Congrats on your 1 year banaverary.

OMG I have an appointment on the 13th too. Do you want to travel together again? My appointment is at 2:15.  It sounds like  we are going to have a party in the Dumont. We should all go for coffee.....or shopping ....or just shoot the breeze in the waiting room.

I would love to travel together!!!  It makes the trip so much easier - actually enjoyable.  It will be great to visit.  I have to do a pick up at Costco - Neuragen for my son's feet :-) - other than that I'm up for what ever is going!

First ... Happy Surgeversary!

Second ... Since our weekend get away was a no go, guess I will have to crash this mini party!  I will try to get there for around 130 so we can all visit some and maybe head to Costco too, lol.

I have an appointement May 13 too at 2 h 30 in fluo. I think I should have an unfill I have a hard time eating.I wonder how much he will take off. I can drink and eat purees slowly but the solid is another story. I wonder if I should ask him to remove everything  for a while and after return for a fill. Any ideas?

Lisa told me that if I go to emergency they will remove everything. Anyone ever did that?
