Angela I could not find my book but I did copy the menu from the book into my food journal. Here is what it says:

Day 10 to day 12
B'fst--  1/2 toast with butter, 1 egg 1/4 cup of 2% milk
Snck-- 1/2 cup strained fruit or fruit flavoured yogurt
Lnch---1/4 cup puree meat 1/4 cup puree or mashed potatoes, 1-2 tbsp gravy, 1/4 cup puree
               veggies, 1/4 cup puree fruit
Snck-- 1/2 cup carnatiion instant breakfast or milkshake
Suppr--1/4 cup puree fish, 1/4 cup puree rice, 1-2 tbsp white sauce, 1/4 cup strained puree
veggies, 1/4 cup strained fruit or frlavoured yogurt
Snk-- 1/2 cup low fat pudding

If you need more just PM me Angela. Dr. B's menu might be different from Dr. C's but this is what Dr. B's paients follow.  It is still a trial and error. I couldn't eat bread or rice or potatoes and of course am lactose intolerant so I had to jimmy the menu quite a bit.

Oh what memories - I looked forward to that friggin toast and egg SO much. I remember it specifically because day 10 was on the day I was leaving to fly back to NB for my two week post op check. And - neither the toast and definitely not the egg went down well. SUCH dissapointment. It was a long time before I tried either again!

Yeah, I hear ya.   At 14 months out I still can't eat rice, fish, bread, potatoes or milk. That was pretty much the entire menu for these days.

Angela

Just my two cents- forget the bread - its carbs - hard to digest- and most of us have a hard time with it regardless of where we are post op- almost 2 years out and it still will sit like a ball of dough!

Even if you can digest it down the road you will not want to be consuming too much of it - again just my two cents - but I dont think Dr C adds in bread at any point of the beginning stages unless he has changed his menu.

Eggs and I have a love hate relationship to this day - sometimes we get along - other times we dont! lol

One day at a time girly- it all will fall into place eventually.

hugs
deb

You need to follow your own surgeon's directions for sure.

We, who had Dr. B though are allowed bread and such. Like Deb, I seldom tolerate bread.

I did and still do boil the crap out of pasta and am able to easily eat it. You can get the whole wheat pasta. just a suggeston.

I Think at 12 days I has boiled to death macaroi with small amt tomato sauce and melted mazza cheese,   After so long without real food, it was heaven. I think I ate 1/4 of a cup.

It's up to you and your doc though.

With the small excption of a scattered cheese omelet, I have lost all eggs. Sucks because I used to love potato salad. Now can't eat potatoes or eggs. LOL

Iam in with you Angela on that one,No Bread.I was not able to eat it from day one.Eggs I can't eat now that was on my 3rd fill. Chicken I was able to eat up untill last week.

The only things I can eat is fish hambrug diced up, mash potatoes and I can added my eggs to the potatoes and that workes, but eveything needs to go in the blander.

The only thing I don't like it junk food wants to go down,So I have to watch myself,Iam down 60bls in 7mth.and down from size 22 to 14.I would not go back, people say you can't eat anything,And I tell them I can and I am happy.

My husban is a size 30 and he does not need to loss but he even eats better now and no take out as I don't eat take out and he said he even fells better,so it is good for everyone.

Dr c does have bread on his,But there is alot on there I was not able to eat so I did up my own as I know what I can have,Just don't try any thing new when you are not home.
Take day by day and try things little by little,But don't try bread or any thing like it.take small bits and eat slow, and one more thing cut eveything up small ..Take care.
