Thanks everyone for your prayers and good wishes, I so appreciate them.  I was discharged early this afternoon and am resting at the hotel now.  Dr Christou said that even with almost
40 lbs lost and all that optifast that my liver was very large and fatty still.  He did scratch it during surgery but said I would know by now if it caused complications.  Im very cold right now, cant seem to get warm, uncomfortable but trying to eat jello and water, had some broth today as well.  I will update again tomorrow

love yas!

I am so happy to hear you are progressing right along- take it easy and let your Mom help you with everything - get the hotel to give you some extra blankets so  you can be toasty and that way you dont have to turn the heat on and off - hotel rooms are so hard to get regulated.

Remember lil sips and take your time on everything- you need your rest thats for sure. As much walking as you can get in cause it sure helps with moving the gas out of your tummy- hope you have some gas-x strips.

Love ya back and yahoooooo welcome to the bench my friend!

Good to hear from you Angela, You are well enough to be d/c ed so that's great. Bet you are looking forward to getting home tomorrow

. As for being cold, that's perfectly normal right now. Your body has been through a lot and with the surgery and all it is to be expected. I am still colder than anyone else in the house and it has been over a year.

I don't know how old you are or if you already have had menopause but i you have be prepared for hot flashes. I started getting them about a week poat op and I am still having hot flashes. Just part of the fun.

Still though as of yesterday i weigh 176 pounds and i would not trade that for ANYTHING. As my signature says "I love my rny" If you have any questions after you get home we are all here for you.

Welcome to the LOSERS bench. ((hugs))

WAY TO GO ANGELA! SO happy for you. I'm smiling for you  - as I guess you are for yourself as well. Be good to yourself sweetie - remember that even though this is a planned, elective surgery - it is still surgery - with anaesthetic - it's a major trauma and insult to our bodies and it will take a while to get over it and work all the kinks out and get rid of all those nasty OR drugs. Sip, walk, rest, repeat - and take your pain meds - if you don't find you need them much during the day - DO take them at bedtime bedause restful sleep is the BEST healer. I'm just thrilled that all went well for you and I look forward to hearing all about your progress, and WOW moments and anything else you want to share. And remember we are here for YOU. Wishing you smooth sailing and CONGRATS!
