I dont consider my daily weigh in, a bad habit, it helps keep me on track.  The numbers dont stress me out, ---most of the time. lol

I would die without my daily double scale fix...that's right I said double scale. I have 2 scales and I weigh myself on both.  Now that my band has been totally drained, I am going to have to take the darn things to work with me to stay on track!!

I am with you on the scale thing!! Once I start weighing it becomes addictive. I am smart enough to know that things such as time of the month and bowel movements can impact the numbers on the scale but I still find myself so easily discouraged if the numbers don't show what i think they should. I have been trying to develop better habits for the last 6 weeks and haven't stepped on the scale yet. I know when I go to see my family doctor on Friday that she will want to weigh me and the thoughts of it scares me. It is not the numbers that scare me (although I am sure that will be frightening enough!), but the fact that now the pressure is on!! Once I am responsible for numbers then I get stressed and fall off the wagon. I used to see a dietician in Moncton and she told me to only weigh myself once a month (at the same time of the month). Good luck Shauna!!
