Question on Wait Times
Coming from out of province - my initial consult letter was sent to Dr. Beausoliel in June of 2005 - I had my surgery in April 2008.
I have been helping a friend of mine research RNY - she may elect to self pay. The wait times are very long now and she is young. I think I would self pay also if I had the means to do so - rather than wait years and years. I think you have to consider all the factors carefully, your health, what may happen health wise if you wait - can you possibly afford to self pay - lots to think about! Good luck to you!
