Got a Letter today

Well got a letter from the Bathurst Hospital today for an appointment to meet with Dr Savoie at the Diabetic Clinic on Mon, May 31st for either tests or attend a clinic ... did any other DS waiter get anything like this yet? 

Not sure what to think - hoping Dr S has this inside track that the surgery may be approved with the new budget or wondering if he will suggest the VSG procedure instead.  Hubby is keen on the VSG if it can be done sooner rather than waiting much longer for the DS.

I got the same letter..for May 31.  I called the office, and Giselle said it is to talk to the nurse and doctor about the wait times for the DS, and probably get offered a different surgery.\\

hi there.............my name has been in to see dr. savoie since last july and was wondering how long you waited to see him.......i know they are very busy but i am so excited and want to get this done

My name has been on the list since December 5th 2008 and I haven't been in to see Dr. Savoie yet.  I call every month to find out how things are moving along and the last time I called the lady said that things were going well and that they were almost done with November/08 referrals and that I should be in to see him before the end of the year.

I'm about to call again in the near future and will post an update.
