Hello,  to all the wonderful New Brunswick Forum ! Just wanted everyone to know I am going to

have the duodenal switch done June 2/10 self-pay out of country. I just can no longer wait, my blood

pressure is getting harder to control and my Dr. is still trying to put me on Diabetic meds. Life well

be harder with the extra financial responsibility, but it is going to help save my life! I have started the

pre-op diet on Mar.18/10 it is hard to cook for a family of 5 and not eat with them. I know the road

well get harder before it gets easier, so I put myself in 4 wheel drive and hopefully I can stay on

the road. Thanks to all of you for your support and kindness during this great adventure I am on.

I could not have gotten this far without your support!

Good luck Stephanie I have been thinking about you and glad that you have a surgery date, it is too bad you have to go out of country and pay for this as well....it just doesn't seem fair that is for sure.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you in your journey to the next chapter of your life.  Keep your spirits up and keep going in 4 wheel drive and remember we are here as well for you and thinking about you when you do leave for your surgery.  When are you leaving?  I know your surgery is June 2, how long ahead of time do you have to be there and how long will you be out of country until?  Keep us posted on how things are going with your pre op diet...

Hugs
Beth

Good for you Stephanie- when our health is greatly affected - it comes down to brass tacks and what REALLY matters most to us - the financial burden will be there as you said - but the extra years of being on the road to a healthier you are worth so much!!! Take good care and keep us posted!
