Question for the nurses & Michelle the vitamin expert
I noticed that my hands tremor when I hold my arms out straight. Could this indicate a vitamin B deficiency? Which B? I also took a medication holiday yesterday. I was so tight that I knew the pills would not go down well. The irritates the sh*t out of my stoma. I did take the Pantoloc. Since I take more pills than I can remember that may be the cause=Effexor-XR, Terazadone, Wellbutrin, Metformin, Hydrochlorothiazide, Adacand, Lipitor, Claritin, Pantoloc, iron, and Atenolol. I didn't eat a whole lot yesterday. The tightness made me feel full all day. I finally up chucked until completely empty last night, which made stoma feel better, but may have left me weak from lack of food. What do you ladies think?
Hand tremors can be caused by so mnay different things that it's hard to say what the exact cause would be. It could be weakness, from your meds, your body's reaction after throwing up - any number of things. You need to document when it happens and what you are doing and what you have eaten and what meds you have taken when you have the tremors - do this for a few weeks - then if it is still an issue for you - take the info to your family doc and go from there. Good luck!
B vitamins are extrmemely important in your overall health and well-being and how you feel. Highly reccomended - by me anyway. I still take 1 centrum forte everyday - they are big - so I break them in half - as well as the palafer, B12 sublingual strips - I get them at WalMart or Shoppers - give them a try - as well as my calcium. I am pretty anal about taking my supplements. Failure to take vitamins and minerals post-op is listed in the top ten reasons why people fail after having weight loss surgery. Actually - I just read that on the RNY board. So - if there is anything I can do to NOT fail - I'll try my best to do it. I realize you are feeling tight - which is not nice when you are needing to get your regular meds in as well as vitamins and minerals. Good luck!
