New Brunswick Lapband question

I live in Nova Scotia where there are no surgeons who do the lapband surgery.  I've been looking into clinics in ON and QC but it seems that the surgery is done in NB.  Is the waiting list long?  Does anyone have a contact website or name/number of a surgeon?  Thanks!!!  I'm very encouraged reading about all of your experiences! 

I too have recently begun looking into Lap band surgery and have been encouraged by the result.s.  When I called Dr. Beausoleil's office to see about the waiting list the receptionist told me it was 7 - 10 years to get in for a consult.  There is another doctor in Bathurst who does the surgery but I have no contact info for him.  When I get back to work (home with a sick daughter) I will dig out Dr. Beausoleil's number and post it.

Hi there ladies, yes unfortunately the wait in NB is a bit discouraging, it is more than 5 years and the list for WLS just keeps growing as more and more people hear about it. Dr. Silvain Beausoleil is in Dieppe, Moncton and his office # is 506-858-8199. You will need to be referred to them by your personal physician. Dr. Marc E Savoie is in Bathurst, NB and I forget his phone but someone else on here would know. Hope that helps out for info. Trish

I  don't remember the user name but someone recently posted here that they have only been waiting since 2007 when they got THE call.

 Dr Marc E Savoie is or was 548-9960 .barratric clinic is 544-3306 and the waiting period is  1  year i think .he is a new Dr .he onely do lapbands but he is starting the sleeve in april...i `m was waiting for the gasrtic bypass ..but i think i`m going for the sleeve instead...i don`t want to wait more longer...the gastric is more dangerous then the lapband and sleeve .lapband and sleeve are the same...just hopefully its works good..i`m very discouraged too but need the faith.i lose 14 pound on my own...and it not to easy to keep it off..the support is kind of nice to have..people here are the greatest thx to everyone..

I am doing good. I am losing weight again. I went shopping today and as many size 16 as size 18 fit.
I had an unfill in December because I had swelling in my stomach that stopped me from eating.  I gained weight over Christmas, but it is finally gone plus a few more pounds.  I am having the same trouble now but not as bad. I am on liquids right now and I am hoping I won't need another unfill. I will have to call Dr B if it doesn't get better real soon.
How are you doing?
