I don't know much about tops other than they follow a sensible eating plan. A lot of people go to weigh****chers and they follow a sensible eating plan too. I can't see where it would hurt Jacqueline. Any weight loss is a good thing. I lost 40 pounds before I had my surgery last year. I wish you well with your gastric bypass. I know I am happy with mine. All the best Jacquline.

Hi there - don't know much of anything about TOPS. I have in the past tried weigh****chers - and if I stayed in the points range - it worked. It was the only weight loss plan I ever went on that worked - and it was simple - just count points. Unfortunately it didn't address my hunger issues. I would have all my points gone - and be hungry. Have you heard anything from Dr. B.'s office. Give them a jingle and bug the crap out of them! Take care!
Hey Jackie, I know a little something about TOPS! I am our chapter leader! I love TOPS. We have tons of information, a weekly program, a very helpful website, a wonderful 28 day program, a sensible Canada Food Guide diet and TOPS recognizes WLS and get rewarded for our successes. Not many weight loss groups recognize surgery as a positive step in weight loss but TOPS puts us in Division 9 where we can compete with other people in other groups. AND it only costs $30 per year. That includes a wonderful monthly magazine that is filled with interesting information. Our chapter charges $8 per month. We have contests and right now we are selling raffle tickets on tickets for two for the Concert on the commons in August featuring Allan Jackson along with a one night stay at the Cambridge suites. All for $1 per ticket or 3 for $2. We are raising money to attend the International Recognition Days being held at the Metro Center in Halifax this July. TOPS is an awesome group and I totally endorse it.If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good Luck in whatever you decide to do.
