I've read this whole thing through s couple of times now and it is quite informative BUT there is one part I think is wrong. It says you can take flinstones vitamins and tums for suppliments. Somehow that does not sound right to me. I don't know I am not a nutritionist but sounds wrong. The calcium in tums is calcium carbonate. Scary!

Hi Maggie - if there is one thing I have learned on these message boards over the last few years - it's that post op plans for nutrition and supplements are as varied as the different surgeons are. So - I stick to what Dr. B. reccomends. I would be VERY wary of flintstones and tums - but hey - if that's what my doctor told me to take - would I take that? Maybe. Thanks for the info on this site - I'm going to have a good look at it with a fresh cup of coffee in a minute. Gotta love the shift work and the time off during the week!Take care!
