As you know, I confessed here to gaining 10 pounds in the 2 weeks after my unfill. Well I lost 3 pounds in the next 2 weeks, then had a fill. I have had very good restriction since the fill. So good that I was worried I was over full at first. I was just not used to eating with restriction and ate too fast and didn't cut my food up enough. I have 3 pounds to go to be back where I was at the unfill. The scales are down a few ounces most days and I stay full for hours. I am struggling with night time eating. I have a good breakfast (cereal or yogurt with hemp hearts), and Glucerna or microwave diet meal for lunch. I have cheese strings or yogyrt for a snack. The problem is that I am not hungry at suppertime and I go to my duplex to work without eating (BTW it's rented thank God). When I come home I am just a little hungry, but when I start eating, I am starved and can't seem to stop eating. I don't get over  full, but I just keep looking for something to eat. I know I should eat supper but I still feel full from lunch. those nights when I do eat supper, I still get very hungry late in the evening. I had coffee the other night and it seemed to help. Perhaps i should have a warm drink around 8PM.
I can't "weight" to change my ticker to new weight loss territory!

Wow,Charline 3 pounds, that's a great start. You may be confusing thirst for hunger. I know when I feel hungry when I know I should not be hungry, I drink something. Sometimes that's all it is is thirst.

  I am not the food police but are you getting enough to eat a noon?  Are there enough dense proteins in a diet meal. The Glucerna is just fluids. Yogurt  too is a slider food.
 
I try to eat an egg omelet for breakfast, beans or meat for lunch. Hard cheese with an apple for snack and a full supper with meat sm potato and either carrot or turnip and 5 sweet pickles for supper. I have a snack at 9 pm too. I'd get too hungry if I didn't. I usually have cottage cheese with a fruit cup. (1/2 cup of each) or 2 small yogurts  or  on occasion have a small homemade muffin. Then at 10 or 10:30 I will have my tea and go to bed. Keep in mind I started this paragraph with "I  try". LOL 

Sounds like you have a good restriction now and are well on your way to losing again. That's great news!!

I was told by a diabetes dietitian that I am not getting enough carbs at lunch, causing my brain to scream for them later in the day. So you may be partly correct.

Yeah, carbs are so important to our health. I think over the last 10 years everyone is seeing them as demon foods but they are not. Carbs are our bodies" main source of energy. I guess we just have to eat better carbs.

Do you need to add carbs to your lunch Charline? What will you add?

It is so confusing. Rinette says pretty much to follow Canada's food guide but if you go online to OH, everyone there says more protein and less carbs. I don't know what to believe half the time. I stand by my nut though when it comes to vitamins. I will not buy expensive vitamins. I take what Rinette and Dr. B says. So far my labs are great.

I have bought some Health Choice Steamers- they are 2.97 at WalMart and I have 1.00 off coupons. They are good, healthy, and about the right size for a meal- not to mention cheap!. They have  rice, pasta or potato in them. I can eat them as long as I chop them up good.

when I seemed to have a stall 2 weeks agao I was eating alot of protein and trying to only eat min carbs then I got PMS and added cards and wow 4 pounds just seemed to disappear, I have added a carb to my afternoon snack, ie mebla toast and cottage cheese. I also started to skip my am snack as I was never hungry at lunch and replaced it with  a coffee-- I was going nuts without my coffee. When I am a hurry at lunch I have try a baked potatoe from Wendys with cottage cheese on it. I keep a few of the single serving cottage cheese at work .

Some of the lap band sites do not recommend eating snacks just 3 meals aday but from what I have read eating snacks or 5 mini meals a day is much better for our metabolism.

I also like the M&M bowels for lunch thye are high in portein low in fat and have good carbs, when I was goin gto a diet center they recommended them they run about 3.60 a piece though.
