April Getaway Date Change !!!

Well, the date has been changed for our weekend due to my stupidity. When I called the hotel to confirm today, I found out that when I called a few weeks ago I had only tenatively booked it and did not give my credit card information. So, I am hoping the date change does not prevent everyone from attending.  Everything else remains the same.

The new date is Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1.

Please accept my deepest apologies if I messed anyone up.

Here's hoping that our plans won't have to be cancelled.

I have been the organizer of many an event and it never fails that some people are no shows. No one intends to be the no show, but it never fails to happen. I suggest that we each be responsible for paying our share with a credit card directly to the hotel one month before the weekend. That way if anyone pulls out we will know how it effects the price. If someone is a no show- they have paid up. Baring an emergency, one should know a month in advance if they have a conflict. You could talk to the hotel to warn them what we are doing and then PM us with the confirmation number.

That is a great idea! I will do that and let you all know. Certainly, it is a committment from everyone and less apt to affect everyone if someone pulls out.  We have two spots now that the date has changed. So pass the word along.

That change does not affect me personally so I am still in girly! 

As I had mentioned long ago when you put the great idea out there - just because you are the organizer you should not have to be out any $$ by offering your credit card- I have no problem sending you my money now and like others have mentioned then if I am a for one reason or another am a no show- no one is affected by my status!

Just pm me your mailing addy or even quicker is send me your email addy by pm and I could do an electronic bank transfer - no problem.
