Had my Info session!

Well I had my info session yesterday with Dr.B. Actually he wasn't present but it was very informative. I feel so smart now, haha actually two years of research has paid off, they didn't tell me to much that I didn't already know. I live 3 hours away so left my home at 4am and got home at 8am so wow a long day for sure. That is one more step closer to my surgery and I met some great people with the same struggles as we all have. Just wanted to update all you OH friends. We had a testimony from a lady who had the band a year and a half ago. She was very  inspiring and has worked super hard and lost over 80lbs so far. I respect you bandsters and all the hard work you put into your "tool" thats all for now. I would love to do the PEI trip to meet you all but unfortunately my hubby works in the woods and is not working in the spring so funds are tight then. Maybe next time it will work out.

Welcome on board Trish.  I am flattered that you found my testimony inspiring. All things are possible to them who believe; do you believe?

Hopefully you will not have to wait too long for your surgery. I don't know if I mentioned this yesterday, but start getting into good eating habits now, before surgery. The transition will be that much easier later!

Hey I didn't know you were on here, yes your testimony was inspiring but made me realize how much work we have to put into our surgery as well. I wanted to tell you at the session that my hubby is a TKD black belt and my two girls are in it also. One is ten and one six! My son will more than likely be in it also but he is only two.. anyway the opportunity never arose and I thought it was cool that we had that connection. I look forward to being able to keep up with my active family soon. And yes I do believe but need a little work to believe in myself. To many failures over the years with my weight has been hard on my self esteem.  Thanks Jet for your great example ttyl Trish

So glad your info session went well Trish. Welcome to the board! And Jet - you spoke at he info session - how great is that!!! I SO want to do that someday - and told Lise last year that I would be in touch with her to try to co-ordinate my next appt with Dr. B. with an info session. Yayy for both of you!
