Well I am home from my all day information session and boy was it ever a long day and I am exhausted.  There were 7 people in my information session so it was a full class...There was quite a bit of information given to us and it was presented very well to us by all of the team.  They are all very nice people and easy to talk to.  6 of us in the group are wanting the band and there is one who wants the sleeve.  Now it is the wait for the consent signing and then possibly 2 other appointments one being the first pre op and then the final one 3 weeks prior to the surgery.  wooohoooo it is getting very close now....  I am excited

They didn't really say how long it would be only said could be 6 months...but I don't think it will be that long to be honest...at the most maybe 3 months....if not that is ok..I can handle that also...

I made the mistake of thinking it would only be a month, three at the most, and when that passed I began lossing hope.  Then I started eating like a little pig and put on weight, so when they called me for the appointment six months later I was so afraid they would cancel my surgery because I had gained weight.

Luckily I was able to loose the extra and make it back to the original weight from my July visit.  December 8th was my surgery, and so be realistic and say 6 months.  That way you don't feel forgotten and return to bad habits.

Most people seem to be done within 3 months, unless they need need extra tests and assessments. I had to see a cardiologist. Didn't someone say that Dr B is away in February? That will add to the time. Congrats on completing another step in the journey.

Sorry, after I wrote my advise I went back today and it sounds so negative.  Please forgive me for that!  I am very happy for you, I remember just how mind blowing it was to know that a change in my life was coming, and how excited I was.  Good for you girl, you are on your way!!!

Thank you Chrissy and Charline...no worries about sounding negative Chrissy I didn't take it that way..  They told us yesterday that the wait now could be 6 months to a year but probably closer to the 6 months if not sooner...I am not going to be upset if it is 6 months or so as I have waited for a long time now and knowing that I will be done this year is good enough for me....I have started my changes already by doing some exercises and cutting my portions back.  I am so ready for this...
