Well then! Maybe you need to re-evaluate why you had the surgery. The band or any other wls, is simply a tool. All things are possible, but you need to do the homework :)

If you try changing everything at once, I think that would be too much. Write out an action plan; set short and long term goals for yourself. Start even with something like drinking your required water every day. As you succeed with one, move on to the other.

If you're looking for an easy way to do this, there is none my friend! I work my a$$ off at the gym almost every day. Today, I had a migraine and the gym is the last place I wanted to go, but I did.

Get into repetitive meals, that way, you know exactly what you're eating each and every day. I would recommend trying hemp hearts. They sell them @ Jean Coutu. Each morning I eat half a cup of plain yoghurt with half a cup of berries and 5 TBSP's of hemp hearts. When lunch comes around, I am barely hungry! I usually eat fruit & almonds for lunch. For supper, I eat soup a lot, or spaghetti squash with tofurkey sausage, salad stuff like that.  Always have lots of water during the day. Hemp hearts actually help curb the desire for sweets as well. HYDRATE: it is key.

These are some things that come to mind. If you've fallen of the wagon, you just need to jump back on; it's never too late.

Hi Jay:

I think we know each other from Blockbuster!  (Do we?)   I understand how you can get bummed out because of the whole change of life, and perhaps you feel that way today, or few a few days, but let it go.  Don't waste your energy on what's been wrong so far, direct it to what you can do tomorrow.

So pick one thing, anything and stick with it.  Mine was to never have pop again.  I go one day at a time and fight that urge.  After a couple of days I added on a positive thing, to walk....etc....balance it out, take each step at a time.

I know, if you look back a few posts you will see that I felt the same way a week ago, but each day gets better.  Remember, we are here to talk.

Yup, that's where you know me from and I remember you and your husband as well. Bruce, right? You guys were a couple of my favorite customers back in the day. Yeah it's been a struggle but I'll get on it somehow. I regret this a lot of days and I don't think I'll ever be a hottie but gotta stay positive.

what are hemp hearts? what do they taste like? Curbing the desire for sweets is mandatory at this point. Hydration is hard because of my work, since I can't drink before or after I eat for a certain amount of time. I can't drink while I'm working and my nutritionist says I have to get my snacks in so I can't drink on my break either, so I go for a whole day without drinking anything until I get off work and then after supper but can't drink too late or I'll be in the bathroom all night. It sucks.

hey,

Reaching out is a good step in the right direction. The truth is  this surgery is hard. I recall several moments before surgery where I thought it was going to be easy because if it wasen't, then why would I even get surgery or why would they even offer it?
Sadly, it wasen't and isin't easy at all. It's alot harder than I ever thought it would be.

The only advice I can offer, is get regular fills. I get fills every 4 weeks (have one tomorrow actually) and they are one of the main reasons of my success. Restriction keeps you on track and in control. At this very moment I need a fill and I'm eating the cupboards. Without restriction, I'm on my own and back to old habits quickly.

Good luck. Keep your chin up! Evaluate why you are sabotaging yourself.

Be more vocal on this board when you need help, you aren't around often. It's not to late for you, just get back on track!

BE positive and get that weight off! Don't let it win! Fight it like it is your enemy!

Hey Jay - I'm not in Moncton but I would be more than happy to help out in any way I can. If you want to message me and keep in touch and be accountable to one another, I'm there for ya.

Hey Jay,

I too, am not in Moncton, however I think because I am in exactly the same place you are, I could really use a buddy too. I have made many terrific friends and people on here and while they are all super supportive and great people, every single one of them have  and/or are succeeding in their journey's. They are focused and are doing great things with their bands. I, however, am not. I am 10 months out and weigh more now than when I started. My fault, totally. I go on Thur this week for a scope to see why I cannot handle any fills without getting stuck. I have 2 cc in right now. I don't exercise and although I do try to eat healthy foods, I eat too much of it. I totally understand where you're coming from and I feel the same struggles that you feel. Take care, Starr
