I don't know if it's a resolution or a goal, but I want to lose 50 pounds in 2010 and reach my overall goal. Of course to accomplish this I have to follow the band rules, so I resolve to follow the rules.  I also resolve to beat depression (any miricles out there?).  I resolve to spoil my grandson silly- an easy one. I resolve to stop allowing people in my life taking me for granted. I have to figure that one out....I usually do everything and am surprised when it is taken  for granted that I will do whatever.

My new Years resolution this year is not directly related to my weight...Every year I make a resolution to "try my hardest to lose weight". This year I decided that I was going to take a different approach, I decided that in 2010 I would take some time each week to do something for myself! I made a list of things that I love, IE: reading, swimming, listening to music, having my hair done, back massages, gardening etc...etc... so my goal is to take some time out each week to do something I love. Something that makes me happy.

Kitty I understand your resolution all to well, I too LET people take me for granted....and then I am so dissappointed when they do..

Happy New Year!

For me:

- get back to my goal weight of 150 lbs and stay there

- complete a half marathon this fall

- continue with my commitment of 2000 exercise minutes each and every month

Ladies, I too know how it feels to be taken advantage of. The old saying is people will only treat you the way you allow them to treat you. It's so true.Just say NO. It seems like a hard word to utter but once you say it once it becomes easier. Don't give a long explanation as to why you are saying NO. A brief " Sorry No I really  can't do -------.  Or NO I'n not available. Or Sorry I have something planned and can't ----------. See Not as hard as it sounds. Just don't spend the next 5 minutes explaining why you can't.  K.I.S.S.  Keep it short and sweet.

My News Year resolution is to get to 200 pounds , and excercise a min of 4 times a week.

I ordered some really cool diet and excerise trackers from chapters and I guess my number one resolution will be to use it :)

I will be doing 5 or 10 km walk in the Fredericton Marthon my older brother wants me to run but I do I do not think my joints can handle it.

This year once I finish my  masters I plan on doing something at least once a week for myself, hubby has hockey, kids have sports my idea has always been to work more. I know what you all mean about doing for others , in the last year I have orgainzed suppers, lunches with no return and at work anytime someone was out for more than a week I organized a suneshine box  when I was off with my surgery no one did anything, of course I do not do things to have someone repay me but now people expect things. A thankyou would be nice LOL

Hmmm - I didn't really make any New Year's Resolutions. Never do. How about a goal? Mine is to remain healthy in both body and mind. How's that?
