Getting ready!

Hey everyone,

Trust you all had a goood Christmas. I am getting ready for the 5K Resolution Run on Friday.  I have been going to the gym religiously to train for it. I have been eating my hemp hearts and starting tomorrow, absolutely no junk.

I really don't feel hungry at lunch when I have my 1/2 cup plain yougurt with 1/2 cup blueberries & 5 TBSP of hemp hearts. Will be having some fruit & protein for a snack later in the day, For supper I made a pot of organic chicken barley soup with lots of carrots & celery.

Good luck with the run, Jet! I've injured my knee and it looks like I'll be walking it - if at all. I'm so disappointed. Run it for me and you both ok?

Krista, that is so unfortunate  I know how much you were looking forward to that run. Hopefully you can at least walk it. I know it's not the same, but still a great way to end the year in your case.

I will giver my best to run the 5 non-stop. I checked the weather forecast, and doesn't look like it will be too cold, so I should be fine.

I might volunteer at the hypothermic run in February; that's a half marathon and I am definitely not ready for that.

Keep me posted on the knee.

Heya! It's feeling quite a bit better. More numb now than painful.  I will be there NYE and I HOPE to be able to jog it. I may be slow but I'm going to give it my very best effort. A friend of mine said if I can't jog it all, we'll just have our own little "Krista" run when I can. Friends rock, don't they?

I'm off to get my jacket today. I'm so jealous that you are wearing a small but thrilled for you as well :)

ETA: The large BARELY fit around my hips. I'm a lot and I mean A LOT bigger than I picture myself to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
