had my surgery yesterday, to my surprise they had to repair a hernia, dont know if this is normal but my port site is terribly painful. The pain in recovery was awful, never had pain like that before, and I had a lot of breathing lapses, the nurse asked if I had sleep apnea, didnt know I did, but not surprised. Not feeling well today at all, pain and nausea. Tired now, gotta go lay down.

Take your pain meds - walk, sip, walk, rest repeat. Evewryday you WILL feel better. Congrats on your surgery and take care!

I know that some people had easy time with respect to pain, but not me. I have birthed 4 children, had gall stones, kidney stones and pancreatitus- I had more pain when I arrived home than any of these. Everyone is different, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. It sounds like we are alike in a bad way! But after about 36 hours I started to feel better and after another 12 hours I felt fine, with minimal pain.

I hope you will start feeling better quickly.   I used my pain meds every 4 hours as directed and found that I slept through most of the discomfort.  So sorry this is happening to you!

My port is also a sore spot, I guess it will get better with time.  I bumped mine on the glass table while scrubbing the floor today and I felt the pain from head to toe!  And my staples keep getting snagged in my bra!  Oh well, the pain of weight loss!

Stay positive.  I felt much better after two days and you will too.  Keep me posted on how your doing!

What the heck are you doing scrubbing floors this soon???? Laproscopic surgery may mean that your feel better sooner, but it doesn't  mean your insides are any less traumatized by the surgery.
