Staples look weird!

Hi Gals:

I am making myself suffer this week, I had banding on Tuesday, dentist on Thursday and H1N1 shot today, then I decide to take off the dressings before going to my daughters Clara's Dream performance!  Not a good idea!

The incisions are ugly and made me feel faint for the first time in this whole process!  It kind of freaked me out, seeing them makes it so REAL!  Ugh!!!

Anyways I took a pain pill, a nap and sent my hubby and mom to the performance.  Hope I feel better tomorrow!

I thought the staples were kind of cool! I was more concerned with their removal; wasn't sure how painful that would be. Turns out that removal is painless.

Nap as much as you can; that's good after any surgery. I got mobile very quickly after surgery and I believe that helped me a lot.

Too bad you missed the performance. Have a good day.

How many staples in total do you have? Just remember the redness and pufffiness will go away, and the scars will fade, but do not scratch the areas, or they will leave a bigger scar. Learnt that the hard way from a previous surgery. LOL

Yep - to some folks who aren't used to seeing medical type stuff - it can be a bit daunting to see staples. You did the right thing - nap, pain meds, and staying home. Soon those nasty staples will be gone! Congrats on your surgery and take good care!
