back too.....

Well was I ver surprised by the results of my non x-ray!  I was all rigged up for the x-ray and Dr Dailey had me swallow barium (yuck) and watched it go down. He and Dr B told me my esophagus is swollen (almost shut) from acid reflux. I told them I have no symptoms. They said it didn't matter, they could see the result. Dr B also told me my band is wide open with no restiction al all. No wonder I have been struggling!! So he gave me a prescription and I was done. I went to have a chat with Whittney and her Mom.
Oh I almost forgot my weigh in. I am down about 9 pounds since my Sept 23rd visit. So regardless of the ups and downs, the downs have greater than the ups.
I go for a fill in 2 weeks, if the esophagus is OK.

I am glad you had a good resolution, in no time at all you will be feeling well again, and jus****ch those pounds come off when you get your restriction.. Happy for you , was a bit worried for you.

Sounds very familiar! I got the prescription yesterday, and an appointment fot the fluro next Thursday. As you know, I too, have no restriction after he removed 6 cc's from my band yesterday. Good luck with your 2 weeks. Too bad we're not going at the same time.

Yeah, It would be nice to get together. Maybe we will have time for coffee. I just called Carolyn and Nathalie canceled my appointment on the 17th and I am trying to reach to tell her that Dr B wants to see me on the 17th.. All that to say I don't know the time of the appointment. It's also my baby's birthday, so I may have to rush home to take her out to supper. She will be 23, so she may have plans that don't include Mummy! Once I know the time, I will connect with you.

Kitty - you said that you are wide open...did he remove everything from your band?

Back in early September, they took out a couple of CC after flying to Europe (I had a bubble). Then they put 1 cc back at the end of September. I think that my eating has only been limited by the irritation in my esophagus. As I said before, no wonder I have been struggling.

Then you are doing exceptionally well for having no restriction woman. Too bad you will be filled before Christmas dinner. 

I am surprised you were asymptomatic with the amount of acid reflux you had. Did he give you losec? Hopefully now when this heals, you will be well on your way to weight loss again. Penelope had some problems with Felix too but I think she feels better now. 

I had turkey for Thanksgiving dinner and  ate a sum total of a cup or so of food. I wanted to eat more but was full full full. It was 5 hours before I could eat again. Haven't decided yet if that's a good thing or not. LOL  I did eat a bite of everything including gravy. So I guess all was OK

 

I have probably have been swollen for a while and it feels like being stuck or being full, but I feel hungry in no time. I was really surprised when they said that it was acid reflux. I have not had a single case of heart burn. I had acid reflux for years, but the symptoms went away after surgery and I have not been taking the meds since last April. He prescribed Losec, but I later realized that Losec doesn't work for me and I called and asked that he prescribe Pantoloc. I went to Shoppers yesterday and he had not called it in!! Fortunately my old prescription was still valid. I will have to call Carolyn Monday to see if he forgot or he wants me to try the Losec anyway for some reason I don't know.
I really don't care about Christmas dinner. I just want the losing to get easier.

 So glad that you got in to see about this.  Hopefully everything will be fine in 2 weeks and you will be back on the road to healthy losing again!

My pharmasist never did get hold of him, At my request Dr. B, perscribed the generic version of Losec for me. My insurance would not cover the generic but would agree to cover the Losec so I needed the script changed back to losec. After 2 weeks of waiting to hear back from Dr.B. my pharmasist used my old script for Losec.

You guys know I love my surgery and have no complaints about the good Dr. except one. There is no follow up care. If I were not followed by Dr. Dornan my endo, I'd be lost.
 
Everytime I see Dr.B. he always says he wants to see me again at a later date usually a couple of months down the road but when I call his office natalie says I cannot book to see him  and he has to make a note of his wish to see me in my chart and she will call me with an appointment. But I never hear from the office. I saw him in Aug and he said he wanted to see me in Nov to do my blood work but I've never heard from his office since.

Same thing happened after my stenosis dilatition way back last March. He said he wanted to see me in 6 weeks and I tried to book an appointment but was told she'd call me. The next time I saw him was in Aug.
