Hot off the Press....

Had my appontment this afternoon with Dr. Beausoleil today. Told him about my week of vomiting and inability to hold down solids. Result: the floodgates are wide open! He removed all 6 cc's from my band, prescibed Losec, and I go back next week for fluro.

The saline was clear, which was good; no sign of infection. Next week the fluro will show placement & positioning of the band. If that is all good, he will fill er up next week.

I am on fluids for a couple of days, then puree till my appointment.

I have lost 10lbs since July. Was hoping for a bigger number, but will take what I got.

Crap, you guys this sucks!!!!  Hopefully jet the losec will fix the problem. It must be scary to be wide open with no restriction. This will be cured quickly and you both wll get back to loser city. All the best.....

Hope you'll be good as new in no time - 10lbs is 10lbs - remember you are timy now - so 10lbs is a lot! Take your Losec and take care of yourself! Feel better soon!

gosh I am jelous! I had my unfill in June because of reflux and he told me to come back in 3 weeks, I have yet to have a call to go back in.I have absolutly NO restriction at all. I have called every month and they keep telling me he is booked.  The sad part is I was up 25lbs since June.  I did however, buckle down and have over 10lbs off now..but this stinks:(

Carol, They almost never call you....You have to call them. That's is why I have an appointment in 2 weeks. Before I called the nurse, I call Natalie because I didn't have the number at home. She gave me an appointment and told me to cancel it if the nurses thought I needed to go in sooner. Today Dr B said to come back in 6 weeks and I said "so cancel my appointment on the 17th" He thought about it told me not to cancel it as there is a good chance I would be ready for a fill.

Jet, Sounds like acid reflux, is it? Strange we have the same problem. He didn't unfill me because I was already wide open.

Don't lnow; he did prescribe some Losec though for 3 months. Need to double up on the dose for the 1st week till my fluro appointment.

With no restriction, huge temptations to fight off. I need to ward off all those evil thoughts I have been having about food! Think I will go run a 5K on Saturday morning instead of going to the Farmer's market like I normally do on Saturday mornings. :)
