Please don't think me insane but after losing this weight my feet have shrunk too. They are narrower and that's fine but I swear the bony prominences are painful to weight bear on. All of my life I have loved to go barefoot but now I can't even consider it. I can only wear crocs or slippers Real shoes and even sneakers hurt, What is going on here? Can feet get too thin? Maybe I am insane.

Everyone loses weight in their feet. Some people even go down a size or two after losing large amounts of weight. It's not uncommon at all.

Also, some people may grow taller because their spine stretches back out once the weight is taken off of it.

I have lost weight off my feet for sure. Like you I have more "sore" spots on my feet than I had before. Mine are along the sides just behind my little toes. Compared to the 65 pounds I've lost - I'll take sore feet. Just need to find the right shoes :-)

Yeah Abby, mine hurt in the same place and the big balls of my feet too. Sad, it is not from walking. My bach has gotten worse so more walking is not in the plans. Like you, if I had to choose between sore feet or 293 pounds, yep, sore feet all the way.

Me too! Me too! I had a Jones fracture in one of my feet almost 3 yrs ago - consequesntly left with a callous bone bump over that area - and I am finding it more bothersome lately after being on my feet a lot - especially after work. But I'd take that anyday if I had to choose between that and the RNY!!!!

I wonder if there is a solution? I will go and ask on some other boards. I really don't like sore feet. With winter coming I won't be able to wear my crocs much longer. Oh my.
