I am seeing Dr Christou on Dec 21st in Montreal

So I am weighing all my options and the wait for the 2 doctors in NB is too long, I am flying to Montreal on Dec 21 to see Dr Christou for self pay, not sure which surgery he will recommend but I'm anxious to speak to him.

I am very happy for you.  I was self pay with Dr. B and I don't regret it one bit.  go for it !!!!!

This is awesome news Angela!! And I hear Dr. Christou is one of the best.  It seems like yesterday since you wrote your first message on OH and how sad, scared and desperate you sounded. Now Dec 21 will come quickly and you will feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnell. Good for you girl. Keep us all posted ,Please.     YOU GO GIRL.

I think that's great. It'll be interesting to see which surgery he recommends for you. Congrats! 

I really want DS and I dont think he does it but I think an associate dr Court does but since I hear so much conflicting information that Dr Court only does people on the public wait list and that Dr Christou only does laproscopic...I want to go and ask for myself, then I'll have to consider everything.  I've contacted health ministers, medicare, a mayor and a MLA and everyone who answers skirts around the issue of DS being avail in Canada...I'm not done my quest yet...they just dont know it lol

I am so happy for you that you have an appointment with dr Christou...i hear he is a great dr and I think Dr B worked with him not sure but i hear that.

Ohhh Angela I am so happy you were able to get into to see him so quickly.... you will just love him and I really think that he will be able to steer you in the right direction of what type of surgery and what are your best choices.....

Oh hon I am so excited for you - please keep me posted. Dont stop asking questions you are in charge and you are the one to make the ultimate decision what is the best surgery for Angela!

That's great Angela! What a nice early Christmas present for you. Dr. B. WAS trained under Dr. Cristou a number of years ago. I remember seeing a pic of them together in their OR greens. You will certainly be in safe hands with Dr. Christou - or any of his associates! SO glad for you!
