I Finnnnalllly broke the 60 pound barrier today. I credit the score card for putting me on track and the YT Challenge for keeping me motivated. Of course, my friends here are my secret weapon!!

Charline, how wonderful!! You did it. Slice of cheesecake or not. LOL  I kew you could do it.
You are doing great.  60 pounds is a lot. Keep up the good work girlfriend and stay off those scales. LOL

Keeping a record does hekp keep you on track. I've kept a daily food journal since June 2008 and can tell at a glance what I've eaten and when. I find it helps keep me honest.

I knew that the pound wasn't permanent...unless I continued to be real bad. I was ranting my frustrations. As for staying off the scales....not for me. When I stay off the scales it is usually because I know I am not being good and I don't want to face reality.

Are you sure it's not OCD Charline. LOL

Everyone and all I have read and going by my own experience there are 2 truths I know. 1 is I must eat breakfast whether I want to or not and 2 stay off the scales except once every 2 weeks at the most. Weighing every day or two causes so much stress. I've given my friend back her scales again and will not weigh myself until the end of the month again. I was getting back into the routine of weighing myself a couple of times a week so they had to go. I guess you do get hooked on those bloody scales. I threw my own set away in February and until I started getting near goals I didn't have any in the house. You would be amazed once you get over the addiction stage how freeing and less stressful it is. Although you don't think the numbers affect your mood, believe me it does. It affects your whole life.

I think the secret is check that you are following the rules. When I plateau for too long I may think I am being really good most of the time, but if I take a closer look.....I find i have gotten comfortable with little cheats and oversights, which add up to not losing.

This is weird. This post only appeared on the board right now for me and you posted it yesterday….totally confused.

Charline congratulations! It’s feels good to reach the 60 pound mark!!!!! I am so happy for you and everyone on this board for their success!

Keep your eyes on the prize darling! You’ll get there :)

What I love about this surgery is that with every pound lose, you feel better. While the weight lost is not instant, you feel good throughout the process. It makes trying worth it!

If we added up all the pounds the regulars have lost since surgery, it would equal to an elephant, I’m sure! J

Keep up the great work!
