Now guys, remember there are no bad foods. The only trhing bad about food is what we do to them and how we eat them.
Charline, stay the hell off of that scale. You are making yourself crazy for no good reason. Now step away from the scale. (except once or twice a month or less)
You ate 1 small slice of cheescake. That won't make you gain so much. What may have happened is the cheesecake was sweet and made you thirsty and you may have drank more water than usual or more likely the sugar in the cheesecake caused you to hold water in your cells. Sugar acts very similar to salt and will cause your body to hold fluids.
I personally can no longer eat cheesecake as much as I absolutely love it. However it is food and there are no bad foods so there is nothing wrong with eating it once in a while. The best thing to do may be to plan your sweets thereby you are not so apt to overdo it. Years ago I used to allow myself a sweet treat on Fridays. I would spend al week planning my treat and on Friday I would go get it and totally enjoy it. Guilt free.
If anyone out there thinks RnYer's have it easier because some of us can't eat sweets just remember some of us still really crave it and miss it. There are so many foods that I can't even take a small bite of. Just because I can't eat it doesn't mean I don't want it.
Christmas will be hard for me because for my family it has always been a food holiday. I have always made dips, sweets, goodies and my family and I always gathered to watch favorite movies and munch out. This year I will not be munching out. Even Christmas day I will not be able to cheat or eat very much. Still I am happy and maybe by then I will have reached 180. UUGGHH

Just keep in mind that you don't know for sure that that is what caused the weight gain. It could have been anything. Everyone has treats.
