Ignore the above- I posted the YTC update and for some strange reason, it replaced my "The rules RULE" post. In my post I said....

For a week or so, I posted a score card for Band rules. That resulted in me realizing where I was slipping, especially when it came to the occasional sugary teat. The occasional treat was a daily occurrence! So starting last Friday I have gotten a lot stricter with the rules and have given up sugar. My never ending plateau has been busted. I had started to think I wouldn't achieve my goals, but no longer.
All because of my participation here and my good OH friends. Thanks for being here!

So glad that you're doing better C.!! Makes a huge difference when you can see the scales moving after so much frustration.

At WW, they have a motto - if you bite it, write it. It's scary how much we can put into our mouths without thinking about it - either making bad choices because we're hungery, rushed, or just tired, or having little tastes of different foods here and there. I didn't buy candy bars for Halloween because I knew that i'd end up eating the rest of them, and I wouldn't even registered them. I also have done so much damage with my year of "Last Suppers" that I need to be accountable too. Last Saturday, I decided to have a free day and well, good god, you can't imagine how many points that I went over. Eek!

Last suppers are highly over rated. Between the time you get off your post-op diet and until you have restriction, you can eat just about anything....not that you should....but you certainly can have almost anything you ate before surgery. Just less of it. Once you have restriction, Bread is just about the only universal no-no food. The idea that you have to have your favorite foods before the surgery, does a lot of harm. Only after the surgery do you find out that you can still eat most of the same foods and panic eating wasn't called for.

I posted the following list and you got one point for each line that was true for that particular day.
1-      I didn’t get stuck today.
2-      I chewed everything well
3-      I took 20 minutes to eat each meal.
4-      I exercised for 30 minutes.
5-      I drank 1.5 litres of water/ water substitute.
6-      I took my vitamin.
7-      I had 60 mg of protein today.
8-      I had took small bites today.
9-      I did not have any sugary food today.
10-   I didn't drink a half hour before or an hour after eating.

It really helped me to see where I was slipping. My occasional sugar treat had become a daily thing.
