The Cat is Coming Back...

Sorry ladies ,sorry Casey...David lost your phone #. I gave it to him but said he lost it .  I have been sick .  I was kept in the hospital til Sat. around suppertime. Sent home with script no pills , had a terrible night ,no sleep ,lots of pain. I think most of the pain is muscular.
I was very dehyrdated , my bp kept dropping . I had a temp . My liver did not shrink & Dr S said that the surgery was very hard on me. My life of obesity caused my liver to be the way it was. He did say it was all reversible. I don't know about the liver.
I have not been strong enough to use the computer until today .
I have a Dr app this afternoon with my own Dr. about my meds etc. I will be so glad when I am feeling better.
I am not eating much (drinking ) . No #2  Nothing to eat in the hospital. They would just pass me by.  I only go****er when I had a pill to take.   I told Dr. S 2times.  I did get cranberry juice maybe 3or 4 times. My bed was terrible. Came home still can;t sleep because of my side & back pain. Yesterday I had a half cup of carrot soup , you buy it in the carton, they come in colors , it was very good. I was in  a room with 2 men.  I never got a bath in there .   I hope there are better days ahead . I sound like a old nag ....but I feel that way.

I am very sorry to hear of your hard time with your surgery and hospital stay. Hopefully the rough seas will calm down and you will have nothing but smooth sailing going forward.

 

The good news is that you are now on the loser’s bench and you are now on track to improving your health, even if right now it doesn’t feel like it.

 

Things will start to look up! Think positive and take Gas X strips when you have pain, I found these worked wonders when I had chest or back pain. Make sure to rest as much as you can as the anesthetic can really slow you down. I really only regained my strength after 2 weeks.

So sorry you had a rough go, but you are on the mend and that's what counts. I remember thinking "I asked for this!!??!"  But that passed quickly. I can't imagine they didn't give you water! And sharing a room with men? What the &^%* was that about?  I think i would rather be in the hall!

Sorry about the hoapital saga - look at it this way - no where else to goow but up! Take good care and stci to your program. Be good to yourself and don't expect miracles overbught, Slow and steady! hugs to you!

Hey, Cat, our stories sound very much alike. I too had a man in my room named Chelsea but I think he/she was a he/she.  Anyway, I was basically ingnored too. Unless I wanted drugs and rang the bell, there was no-one to be seen. The weird thing is that the two people in my room had THEIR nurse and I had a totally different one. What the hell was up with that.  My nurse would come in and introduce herself at the beginning of her shift and then I would never see her again. I did have one sweetheart on the second day.  So you feel absolutely ****ty as did I.
I can honestly say that this is the beginning of week three for me and things are getting back to normal. BM's and all! I am actually feeling human again. After getting the staples out, I started coming around. Please know that all those horrible feelings will pass. This is a tough time but it will get bettter. Believe all of us when we say that! You are on the other side with us all now.\

I will be thinking of you and praying for you. Hang in there. Everyday gets easier.
