Michelle is back in the House, lol

So I had a little birdie find me on Facebook and say that some people were looking for me ... thanks guys ... a nice boost to hear I was missed.

Sorry I have been gone so long.  Last spring I found that I spent nearly the whole day going from one forum to another researching etc and had to take a step back.  Got more involved with my church and family and the summer just seemed to fly by.  Then I just got quite discouraged as saw the list one day with so many names getting their surgeries - which I am really happy for - but when I called Bathurst it was like no end in sight so tried to focus elsewhere.

This summer we also found out that my godmother has type 4 cancer and has been getting treatments this fall so that really took the wind out of my mom and I.  One of my high school friends just lost his battle with cancer.  At times like that I wonder about having such a major surgery and the possibility of leaving my 2 kids without a mom, but know that without the surgery I am a walking time bomb as my health declines.

So I shall commit to being on here and posting more often ... may only skim through some of the topics as looks like i missed alot, lol.

Will send out a big congrats to everyone at all stages of their weight loss journey.  My family and I have still been praying for everyone but looks like our group has grown. 

Deb mentioned that Sugarbear had an idea of getting together in the spring which I would so love to do.  In the meantime if anyone wants to get together in Moncton just let me know.

Hi There is 3 of us that would like to get together on a sat or sunday in moncton.Just don't know when I posted for the 24th of oct but did not get any one so I will try for maybe in Nov.Keep I look out for a time and places ok..

Welcome back Michelle! Sorry for the tough times you've had as of late and hope things improve for you soon.

On your surgery, are you having RNY or sleeve? Is that why you haven't heard anything?

I am so sorry to hear of your family and friend's battle with the big awful C. Losing people in your life makes you so aware of how precious and short life is. You are so right in spending more time with your family than on web sites. Family is what's really important in life. Praying for your godmother and sending good wishes that she gets through this awful time.

It seems like you have been waiting such a long time for your DS. Any news yet when Dr. S will start doing them? Surely you will be one of the first ones who gets done. Have you had a consult with him yet?

Michelle I am sorry about your godmom- she is lucky to have you in her corner- I think you would make an awesome advocate - you know your stuff and are a very smart lady!
