What a wonderful attitude! I applaud you. Don't bother to say that you had to go through some other emotions to get there. The emotions are part of being human. The point is that you arrived at such a great attitude and it only took a short time. You will likely go through those feelings again , but you will work through them.  Good for you for tackling the problem the old fashion.
Some unsolicited advise.....I have friends that have done very well with Food for Life (not me though) and & did quite well with Simply for Life.

Casey,

Never be ashamed of what you are feeling. If I were in your shoes, I would be very depressed, so please take your emotions as they come and for what they are....normal.

While you wait, I would definetly attempt to lose the weight on my own. I know easier said than done right? but it's worth a try. You saw that 100 mark and most of us on this board hasn't seen that in a very long time and it's just a goal in our minds don't take those eyes off the prize and keep going, for your health.

When I submitted my original referral to Dr. B back in 2006, I weight 240 pounds. When I had surgery with Dr. Savoie, I was 283 pounds. So while I waited for surgery, I gained 40 and I regret it each and every day because it's at that point health problems started creeping on me and I now just have so much work to do.

You can do it! Post here! Join us in our struggles and moments of joy! Post your NSV, your mistakes, and everything in between. You are one of us, surgery now, later or never.

Keep us posted!

HI Betty , I know that you were and are so dissappointed in being so near  having your surgery  being a success. I too would have felt the same way.   You don't have to be brave here cause we all have up and downs .  I don't know if I could have recovered as quickly as  you did .  I am proud that you have presued other sources and are in the waiting game again . If they have 4 surgeons , the time to wait could be shorter than you think.  I  really hope that it is .
I for one don't want you to leave this forum ,  like I said ......my angel .....what will I do ? I am being selfish now.  One day at a time , you know how to do it  !!!
