Thanks Kitty ....now it really seems like you were one  of the last ones to have it done & look at all the weight you have lost.  Good for you . It makes this nervousness all worth it when I see the numbers that you ladies are showing . How much better you must all feel. The NSV are the most important ones !! I want my health back....I want to be able to walk again without all this pain.  I want to be normal NOT the biggest one every where I go ...
SO I am Happy ........bring it on !

You will feel soooooooo much better in 6 months- it is unbelievable. I feel like a young women. I can work all day long doing housework. yard work, or hiking. Maybe I need to take a few more breaks than 20 years ago. My health isn't been magically fixed, but I have stopped 2 meds and the others are drastically reduced. I am taking 1 insulin injection instead of 3 per day.
AND I may not be in a bikini (yet LOL) but I am able to shop in normal stores and that is just plain thrilling.
A bit of advise- I think we are about the same age, so.....don't compare your weight loss to our younger brethren. They will lose faster just because they are younger. It can be discouraging, especially when your weight is bouncing up the same few pounds over and over for what seems like months (when it may really be a couple of weeks). The same advice when it comes to RNY........DS'er will probably drive my jealousy meter through the roof...LOL But the band is working for me and when I look at the long term,  I realize that I have lost steady and am doing great when compared to ME!
Congrats!

I really can imagine that  I should feel great . I have lost around 25 lbs before & I felt real good with that much but I was lighter in weight also then.   I guess Carline that we are in our WISER "50'S"  ...right ?   Our metabolism slows down as we get wiser .... maybe we will have to work a bit harder at it ,with exercise .  I better get to bed & get some beauty sleep , I am going to need it !

So glad you got a date Cat. Hang on because it's one WILD ride. Concentrate on the HAPPY feelings and keep busy. The time will fly. I'll be thinking of you that day. It will be the first day of your NEW life - such a wonderful life changing event. I get excited still when I remember how excited I was. And I get almost as excited for other people because I know what wonderful chages are in store for them. Congrats Cat
