The Wait Is Over ..

I got my call for surgery this  morning . I go  on my diabetic boost on Wednesday ...surgery on Oct 14th.   I think I have had just about every emotion since I got the call .   I am happy , scared to death ....at the same time . I hate surgery !!!  On the other hand , I have been waiting since last Oct for this call .  The lady at the hospital said I would be getting a letter in the mail ( I hope that I actually get one this time) . giving me some instructions or times whatever.  
I think its 4 boosts a day plus water , black tea & coffee , is there anything else I am allowed to have ?  Tomorrow is the last day for BREAD ...... hummm , I think I will have a foot long sub.
HAPPY ...HAPPY....HAPPY ........SCARED ........NERVOUS..........

There are really no downsides to the band! Thinking positively is really the only way to achieve success! You will work your band - I'm sure of it!

I've been honest with my journey, the good and the bad. I think it's important to embrace all sides because this is the new you! I love my band and yes, I would do it again in a heart beat! I can't honestly say I've had a moment where I've hated my band and i'm sure you'll be the same.

It's wasn't easy, but sure it was worth it!

Thanks again , Scar.   I do hope & pray that I can work the band as well as you do. I have been so unhappy for so long with my outward image ,and my health is deterioring all the time .  It is the TIME for some positive work  to be accomplished in my life.

You are about to start your two week freak!!!!!!!! lol

Its a wild bunch of emotions and yup sounds like you are the same as all of us -"scared" then "happy" then "omg what am I doing" then "oh finally my turn" and then just when you think this is all "great" the "what ifs" get ya!

Post lots -and maybe try some journalling - doing the fluids and not having food to depend on presents its own challenges - have your foot long and get your butt in gear - you are about to get your tkt for the rollercoaster !

Its a pretty cool ride - buckle up girly - ups and downs but worth it - you regain so much freedom and your health- yup very worth it!

I love your posts NSgal.   I am scared right now , that will change in another minute or so. I think I am prepared for this  , I really never thought the time would come ...........Or am I prepared . Isn't it funny how when you are faced with the REAL thing  you start thinking of all the negative aspects .  NO , I AM  ready for a change in health & looks ...I really cant say I like myself very much these last few years. YEP ...ready for better things !! Thanks for the nice post !!
