Actually, Summerside would be better because it's closer to the bridge....about 25-30 min vs Charlottetown which is an hour. But then again, it's further for anyone from Cape Breton...just a thought!!!

I vote for Halifax - for a few reasons
-for anyone flying - it is a major airport hub - no "short haul flights" involved - they cost a mint
-it has the biggest selcetion of hotels, shopping, eating etc
-lovely waterfront for walking, sightseeing etc
-tons of things to do and places to go

Just my two cents worth!
