Where has the time gone

I haven't been writing much lately because frankly I have nothing to report.  I haven't lost an ounce since May and probably gained about 4 lbs .  I'm down 105 and was originally down 109.  I finally go this Thursday Sept 17 for a fill.  I am sooooo long overdue its not funny.  It's a long wait between fills and feel this is a huge disadvantage to the bandsters.  I'm coming up on my one year anniversary and only down 50 lbs.  It's a bit disheartening since I thought I'd be down 100 post op....but no go.  Oh well 50 is better than gaining.  Hopefully this fill will tighten me up for a while.  Glad to see most everyone is doing well.  Congrats to all.  I have been lurking and keeping taps on everyone but not much to write usually.

Take care, Penelope G  (Patsy !!!)

I miss all of the old gang. I miss patsy, clawrence,  whitney, suzanne, michelle, angela, and there are a few more whose names have slipped my mind. Come on guys post anyway. if you have nothing to report, reply to someone else. I have nothing to say but I do try to support others on here. Charline does too and when she was away this summer I really missed her. Let's not fade away the way all of trhe other oldies have. We were all here when we were waiting and right after surgery so let's be there for the other newbies who might need us and show them there is a good side and a bad side to these surgeries.,Not all fun, games and steady losing.

I agree marymother, I miss the old gang too.  I try to post but don't feel I have a lot to say.  So here goes with my current status:

Beginning of my journey weight was   Jan. 22, 2009     261 (has been higher about 273 I think)
Weight on surgery day  Apr. 28 2009    237
Current weight    201 (Just hovering - can't seem to break through to onderland!!!)
First goal to not be morbidly obese (Achieved Apr, 22/09)
Second Goal 199   Onederland (Still Tryin')
Third goal   BMI of 29 - merely overweight and not obese (22 lbs to go)
Fourth  goal      160 pounds  (goal set at my meeting with Dr. B and I'd be happy here )
Personal goal     150 pounds (been lower - not for long - not a great place to be)

I am not feeling like I have a lot of restriction and I definitely need a fill.  I should call Nathalie, but it's a matter of taking a day off work to drive to Moncton my next trip would be my 11th in total from the beginning.  I know that if this WLS is going to work to it's full potential - I need to do my part and get the fills when I need them.

No regrets here.  I would do it all again in a heartbeat!!!

Patsy -

Hi and hopefully your fill will get you going again.

I have a friend that had a lapband done last November and she is having no luck at all with weight loss, I don't know if she has lost anything to speak of.
I really believe that the bandsters have a tougher time of it, because if your fills aren't done correctly or if they are so far apart it seems like you can eat too much quite easily.

If I eat too much or even the wrong thing, my body lets me know so  I am very careful to behave.

I'm sorry that you are having a slowgo but I have no doubt that you will get back on track once you get your fill.

You need to concentrate on the sucess you have had and how much better you must feel after a 100 lb loss.

You go girl!!

Thanks for the encouragement.  I think this fill will make a difference.  At least I am hopeful.  I'm down 105 which is darn good I know, but I still have 95 to lose to get to my goal.  Anyway, fingers crossed.
