back from the cottage- had an unfill

I am on  my way a home from the cottage. i have to work tomorrow and the big Springwater subdivision yard sale is on Saturday. I am at my nephew's in Prosier Brook  for a visit. We are going 4 wheeling in a bit- fun!
I was in to the clinic on Sept 3rd. I was told that an air bubble may have expanded in my band on the flight over seas and that I needed an unfill. Carolyn asked if I minded if she did it....I would be her second band adjustment....(WHAT? Do I look crazy??).....and I said go ahead, everyone has to learn. Well she had no trouble finding the port but the actual opening was another story. Dr Roy tried too, but she also failed. Finally they called the "boss" and Dr B took out 1.5cc.He said to come back in 2-3 weeks and they will decide about a fill. What a relief to be able to eat. OMG I almost forgot, I was down 13 pounds from July 9th. Unfortunately I think I gained a couple of pounds. The first  couple of days I was hungry all the time. I think this is because I was starving after being unable to eat and barely able to drink for 10 days. I am not starving now! LOL  

Just wondering , you were barely able to eat or drink for 10 days, how come it took so long to go into the clinic?  Is the waiting time for an appointment that long? Thanks for the info.

No...I had an appointment within 2 days of calling. My problem was as a result of a trans-Atlantic flight. Apparently I had an small air bubble in my band (not uncommon) and it expanded in the flight. Once expanded, the bubble remains enlarged after the flight. It was worse after flying home. It was such a relief to be able to eat.

Yes I feel a lot better, but I am able to eat way too much! Thanks for asking.
