The Training Continues
I mentioned here earlier that I am taking part in the CIBC Run for the Cure on October 4th. I have been preparing mentally and physically to run the 5K. I am currently running 2 miles in 25 minutes on the treadmill, so from what people have told me, I should be able to get er done! LOL!! I need to start running outside though.
If someone would have told me 2 years ago that I would be running 2 miles in 25 minutes, I would have said, "Yeah right!" But here I am doing it. I get such a high when I'm done, of course I could be confusing that with the dizziness of near exhaustion! Or maybe some of the sweat is somehow seeping into my brain and causing a short circuit making me think that I am enjoying the sessions on the dreadmill! LOL!!
I lost my 39 year old cousin to breast cancer on April 22nd and will be running on her behalf. She was very active in fundraising for this cause and many have benefitted from her efforts over the years. If you aren't sponsoring anyone yet, I would appreciate your support for this worthy cause. The following is a link to make online donations. Thank you.
