VSG on 10/01/09

After 8.5 years of waiting, I finally have a surgery date! October 1st! Wahooooooo! SOOO excited!

Weight lost since surgery (Oct. 1, 2009): 47 lbs

VSG on 10/01/09

I am having the VSG - it's the only kind they do in Halifax. It's a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. The pouch is like a banana, and they remove the 85% of the stomach that is not needed. There is no malabsorption because the intestine stays in the same place.

I am so happy for you. I can't imagine how that must feel. I kinda feel guilty that I haven't waited 2 years... but no matter what, we are all destined to be skinny divas!!! HAHAHAHA
