Long time no chat...

So...here is the short of it. I went for my second fill in June...1 cc for a total of 5. Just about everything I put in my mouth was getting stuck. I was sure I was eating too fast or not chewing enough/big bites. I went back in July (down 7 lbs) for for my third fill. No such luck. Saw Dr B's wife and she said she would not fill me and wanted to take some out ( I was honest with them about getting stuck) and said I needed fluro. I flatly refused, was rude to her ( she was sweet), said "whatever" and walked out of the office thinking I would never return . After I calmed down , realized I was being self destructive and come to my senses that they know what they're doing in Moncton, I became embarassed to go back and face them. With the help of some terrific friends on here, I decided to suck it up and go back to apologize for my childishness and start over. I walked in there the week before last, apologized for my behaviour (was up 2 lbs) and asked for an unfill. Yep, an unfill...that's right. I had fluro and Dr B informed me it was not restriction I was having but reflux. He took out half the fluid and I go back in 4 weeks for another fluro to see if I'm still having the problem. We'll go from there. Frustration can definately get the best of us sometimes but we must persevere. I now have no restriction and am most likely gaining weight but in time I suspect things will turn around for me. Thanks to all of you for the support and good luck to everyone on their journeys.

It's never easy to apologize, I quess it comes with maturity, which you proved you had, by going in and apoligizing. Good for you.  I am sure they understood, I haven't met the doctors wife yet. What is her name? Good luck on your continued weight loss, you will get there, just be patient, but dang that is hard, one wants those extra pounds gone like yesterday. lol

I'm VERY proud of you Starr, it's not easy to apologize especially when we are embarrassed by our actions.  But you swallowed your pride and marched in there and took it like a big girl......hehe.  Hopefully things will start turning around for you.  Remember, if you need anything, I am here for you!!!!!!!

Hi Starr, long time no see. Yep, sometimes we just have to put on our big girl panties and do things that we don't want to do. But we do. Sorry to hear about yur weight gain and your trouble swollowing. Must really suck. You know having WLS is like having a child with a man. You may not get along with them but you gotta be involoved with them for many years to come. Hopefully after this problem is fixed you will start to lose weoght again. I think Patsy had a similar problem last year. She was ill for awhile until they figured her problem. Hang in there. We are all in this boat together.

WAY TO GO, STARR!!!  It takes guts to to do what you did - not sure I could have done it.  I am so glad to see you posting again.  I haven't stopped thinking about you since you told us of your "whatever" visit.  Hang in there - it will happen.  You/they will find your sweet spot and the weight will start coming off.   I'm VERY PROUD OF YOU.

I was wondering where you were - I guess I must have missed the original post- I am sorry that you have been having some rough times.

I really admire you for having the "balls" or as my female dr says - "ovaries" to go in and apologize for your not so "Starr" performance ! lol

Keep in mind that WLS does do a number on our emotions with the hormone gig - over the first few months had many a moment like you had that day!

Chin up and pat yourself on the back - you took care of the wrong and things will definitely turn around for you - this is a rollercoaster ride and I know this from personal experience- buckle up your seatbelt- its all worth it though- so hang in there - we are all routing for ya!

hugs- have a good weekend

Good for you for taking the high road. Sometimes it's hard - but it's for the best. And you'll get the best possible care this way. And THAT"S what it's all about! Take care!
