WOW...this is hard .....I am assuming it will get easier after 3-4 days but I find it very hard today....I am very hungry and don't like the taste of boost too much.....So let's just say I will be counting down the days for my surgery :)

Never tried Boost..yet..I have 2 more Dr visits with a PCP before my lap band surgeon makes "the"
appointment. Did you have lap band or gastric?

Hang in there girl, others have done it, you can too. Go for long drives, or to a movie, anything to take up the time, and yes from what  I have read here, after the 3rd day it does get easier. Good luck , wish I was on my fluids, still waiting for the next call. So no matter how hard it is, just remember how lucky you are to be doing this. Your gonna do great.

Yup. grab a bottle of water and a bottle of boost and go for a long drive to get you away from the cupboards and the fridge. You can do this. It gets easier. :)

I didn't do the Boost thing - but am aware of how it tastes and smells. Try it really cold or with ice. And hang in there - you CAN do it! It's for a great cause - YOU!!!!!!

It’s hard but keep your eye on the prize. During my Boost experience, I had a really rough ride but honestly, now I’m a six weeks out of surgery and I am so happy I did this!!!!!!!!!!! There will be days where you will second doubt yourself and days where you feel like giving up but TRUST ME, I wouldn’t trade my band for the world right now so stick to it.

The 2 weeks of boost and the 2 weeks of liquid after surgery was really a withdrawal period for me. I had to grieve the loss of food. I was miserable, depressed, and I regretted my decision. Not everyone has the same experience, but that was mine.

Now I’m happy, am gaining my confidence back and I haven’t felt this good since forever. I am looking forward to working that band more than ever!!!

It’s kind of like childbirth, you think “I am never doing this again" but once it’s in the past, it’s not so bad. That’s how I felt about the boost experience, now when I look back on it, it’s wasn’t so bad.

KEEP YOUR CHIN UP and feel free to contact me if you need some support!

I feel your pain, Missy but it does get easier. I'm on day 7 and a half. I thought I was going to bite someone's head off for the first few days. My poor Husband!!  I found that putting the Boost in the freezer for half an hour-45 min made it really cold and easier to tolerate.  And you know what else I did, I had a tiny bowl of vinegar in front of me and would dip a spoon in and lick the spoon just to pop the taste buds back into action. I love vinegar so it was no problem for me and it helps me get rid of the taste of the Boost in my mouth!!!  And it's not like you're cheating since you're just licking the spoon.  I found time went soooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwww the first week but seems to be flying now that one week is under my belt!!  Hang tough!!!  You can do it!!!
